Ramlat Adduada, in this area there are incredibly 11 approx lakes surrounded by green vegetation and palm trees, deep outinto the softest and largest sandy desert.Their salt levels are extremely high, and can be compared with the Dead Sea. Among the most famous are Um Al Ma Lake (Mother of Water), The Mandra Lake, the Mafo lake and the lake Gaberoun which on its shores a small abandoned village of a Libyan Arab black community lived until the beginning of the eighties and then moved to a new modern village built exclusively for them, this population used the warms living in the lake’s as their main source of food, a little wonder between the remains shows all what left of village; houses, mosque and of course a school. Modern life obliged the authority to move the village to a modern one in town.
